Too much sugar does more than just make your child hyper!

I thought I’d share a few thoughts on the effect too much candy has on a child. Most people look as far as “oh it’s just making my child hyper for a while”, but I’m here to tell you that when your child (or an adult) gets too much candy, or other high sugar foods and/or drinks on a regular basis, there’s much more happening than hyperactivity!

When you consume sugar, you deplete your body of B Vitamins, and when you deplete your B vitamins, many symptoms can occur, such as hyperactivity, impatience, moodiness, irritability, cravings for more sugar and….turning into an emotional roller coaster! But those are just the outward signs, which nowadays most people, adults and children seem to experience on a regular basis, and which sadly, seems to have become “the norm” amongst so many people.  Because our diet nowadays contains so much sugar, to include white starches (potatoes, rice, and pasta, which turn into sugar in our body), along with stress, which also drastically depletes your body of B vitamins, most everyone, adults and children, are very deficient in all the B vitamins!

So, just think…. if you and/or your child has a stressful lifestyle or high sugar diet causing you to constantly deplete the B vitamins in your body, and there’s no regimen in place to replenish those B’s on a regular basis, what long-term health effects are taking place? I contribute most of our “teenage attitude problems”, along with depression, unsociable behavior, running away from home and general unhappiness to either a general or severe depletion of B Vitamins along with other vitamins our bodies need for emotional stability. And the damage happening inside our bodies shouldn’t be ignored either!
