Soap can be very drying to your skin!

When my son was about 11 years old, we flew him out to visit my family in Virginia. It was his first time being away from us on his own….so he was very excited! On about his 3rd or 4th day there, we called to see how he was doing. During our conversation he said to me, in a distressed voice, “Mom, there’s something wrong with Aunt Yvonne’s soap!”.

Chuckling, I said “What?! What do you mean?”. He then described to me that whenever he gets done taking a bath, his skin feels so dry….it actually hurts!  It took me a minute to realize what was happening. And I said, “Oh no Justin….it’s okay….you’ve just never experienced washing your body with SOAP….so you’re not use to how it feels.”  I assured him he’d be just fine.  You see…..we had switched to Shaklee’s non-soap cleaners when he was about 3, so he didn’t know what washing with “soap” felt like.

Shaklee’s body washes don’t contain “soap”. I know that sounds strange, but they choose to leave those particular ingredients out, for various health reasons. And it’s soap that can literally dry out your skin!  If you’re having issues like this…..you may find switching to Shaklee’s non-soap cleansers will do the trick!!!
