PMS symptoms – don’t just accept them!

Pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) is another one of those things that our society just accepts as being “normal”.  Actually the pain, cramps, bloating, and heavy bleeding should not be looked at as “normal”. Rather a cry for help that your body is deficient in a few basic nutrients. I know, because I, too, suffered from PMS symptoms severely for many, many years and just assumed that because so many women experience these horrible symptoms that there must be nothing you can do about it………WRONG!

I suffered SEVERELY until about the age of 33.  It was then that I was introduced to Shaklee’s wellness products.  I noticed within about a year of using a few of their basic nutritional supplements….their multi-vitamin (Vita Lea), their B-Complex, their Calcium (Osteomatrix) and their Energizing Soy Protein, that my monthly cycle just became more and more bearable with each month, till one day, I had no symptoms whatsoever. “How could this be?” I thought.

After some research, I learned that deficiencies of some nutrients will actually cause symptoms to be more severe than they need to be and I guess I just happen to replenish my body to the point that my monthly cycle was no longer such an issue.

I even had a friend come to me once for help. Her period was VERY heavy every month for about 10 days and then would start becoming lighter over the next week. I recommended Shaklee’s Vita Lea, B-Complex, their calcium and our Energizing Soy Protein, 2 shakes a day for awhile.  She followed this regimen to a “T” and about 2 months later she called me with great news!!  Her last cycle had been much shorter and lighter!  And….. her cramping was even much less!  She was ecstatic…..and so was I!!  There’s something very profound about helping another human being with such monthly pain and suffering!  And people wonder why after 25 years I STILL LOVE WHAT I DO!! 😉
