Do you, or your kids, have a hard time waking up?

Do you or your kids have a hard time waking up in the morning?
Would you rather wake up easily, feeling refreshed and ready to start your day? We all have episodes of having a hard time waking up…usually due to a restless night’s sleep, but if you do this on a regular basis, it could very well be because your blood sugar drops too much while you’re sleeping. The way to encourage this to NOT happen is to ingest some good quality protein before going to bed.

For years I’ve been recommending Shaklee’s Energizing Soy Protein be enjoyed first thing in the morning to boost your energy for the day….and it does work really well for that.  But one day, years ago, I happen to drink one at bedtime because I had heard how well your body uses nutrients while you sleep. The next morning… I woke up all on my own, shortly before the alarm went off, feeling totally awake and refreshed! I thought it was a fluke, but shortly later I learned that your blood sugar drops while you’re sleeping (for some people worse than others), and that Shaklee’s protein keeps your blood sugar level throughout the night, causing you to be able to wake up much easier. Mind you, I was never one of those people who felt droggy and really had a hard-time waking up, but this feeling was even better than I normally experienced. As a matter of fact, I use this product very strategically! On those occasions where I know I need to wake up earlier than usual for a morning flight, etc. I make a point of having one at bedtime, so that 5:00 am will be a cinch to handle!! And it always is….it’s soooo amazing!!!

EnergizingSoyProteinI still recommend their protein in the morning to keep a person more energized throughout the day, and a lot of people claim it really helps keep that “2:00 in the afternoon tired feeling” at bay! But I also ask everyone who buys it, if they or their children happen to be one of those people who literally has to drag themselves out of bed in the mornings and if they answer “Yes”, I encourage them to try taking it at bedtime to see what happens. An adult can drink 1/2 – 1 serving.  Most kids and teens are okay with 1/2 a serving, right before bed!  For most people, it has made a huge difference in how easily they wake up!
