Ever feel overly-worried about things left undone?

Our lives are busy and there’s always those days when you feel like there just aren’t enough hours in a day. And the holidays are almost upon us, so it’s about to get worse!  But do you seem to STAY overly worried about things left undone?

A few years ago we were gone for 10 days over Thanksgiving and like we’ve all experienced, I found myself with a major catch-up To-Do list when I got home. But something else interesting happened. After being home for a few days, I found myself overly-worried about the holiday things I still needed to accomplish. So my mind was racing… write Christmas cards, decorate the house, put up the tree, decorate outside, finish some gift knitting projects, bake cookies (usually a 2 day event), shop for gifts (haven’t done that AT ALL yet), etc.

You might be thinking I had every reason in the world to be “overly-worried” about these things. But you see, I shouldn’t have been, because I actually have more time than most people to accomplish this stuff, since I don’t work a traditional 40 hr a week job away from home. But even after reminding my self of this fact, I still felt overly worried about all the things I still needed to do.  After a day of feeling like this, it occurred to me that I hadn’t followed my vitamin regimen exactly right while gone, just because I was out of my normal daily routine, and it was more than obvious that I was depleted in B vitamins!

So….I upped my B-Complex to a little higher than normal dose for a couple days and “Bingo”….within just a few hours, I felt much better! Granted….my To Do list was still the same, but by bringing up the B-vitamin levels in my body I was able to deal with everything better… mentally. It’s amazing how well it works!!
