Do your bathroom carpets crumble and fall apart?

Years ago my mother and I got on the subject of how bathroom carpets, no matter how well you seem to take care of them, still have a short life, due to the backs crumbling and wearing away. My mother asked me if I knew what caused this, to which I answered, “Well….I’ve always assumed it was the heat of the dryer”. “Nope”, she said, “It’s your detergent, it simply eats away at the rubber over time, so if you want your bathroom carpets to last longer, just use a tiny bit of detergent. It’ll still happen, but not as quickly.”

Years later, after we changed brands and started using Shaklee’s laundry detergent, my son, about 3 1/2, had a new inexpensive sweatshirt that had a rubberized jet fighter scene across the entire front of the shirt. He LOVED THAT SHIRT and wore it often!  That sweatshirt got washed once a week for the entire time that he was able to wear it (about a year, cuz it was a little too big for him when I bought it).  After a full year, it still looked completely new, not a single crack or or crumbling going on.  I remembered what my mother had told me and thought “OMG….Shaklee’s laundry detergent is truly THAT gentle on clothes”!  Although he outgrew it, I continued washing that sweatshirt once a week for another year and still it looked brand new!  Same goes for your bathroom carpets, there’s no reason they have to start cracking and crumbling after a few washes!  And remember, Shaklee’s household cleaners and laundry products are GREEN & NON-TOXIC!  And SUPER concentrated…..so VERY economical!!

So if you’re into “GREEN”, whether it be more of it in your wallet OR a healthier planet, these products are definitely for YOU!!
